Cybersecurity Vendor Management Lead

- The Cybersecurity Vendor Management Lead is a role within the Strategy, Programme and Execution function that has a deep understanding of vendor capabilities, cost models, contract management and governance, overseeing and managing third-party relationships within established Workforce and Organisational Policy principles.
- The Cybersecurity Vendor Management Lead will have oversight of vendor relationships throughout the full lifecycle, whilst contributing to defining the Cyber vendor strategy, implementation, and delivery.
- The Cybersecurity Vendor Management Lead will drive contract management best practices ensuring vendors are co-operative and responsive, delivering business benefit and value for money.
responsibilities :
- Drive the vendor transformation strategy across Cybersecurity, ensuring alignment with the broader strategy and “One wallet” approach, driving rationalisation, optimisation, and consolidation.
- Manage and own all Vendor related transformation governance and oversight (e. g. , Vendor Management Board, Cybersecurity Technology Board, including the management of the RFI/RFP tracker and templates).
- Lead vendor governance meetings on behalf of the CISO and act as a focal point of Cybersecurity vendor management and point of escalation.
- Create performance framework for vendors including get-well plan for poor performance.
- Contract risk management working closely with the Cybersecurity Regulatory & Third-party Management (TPRO) lead.
- Support Vendor and contract financial analysis (e. g. , PnL views, headwinds etc. ).
- Manage vendor lifecycle process, provide guidance and support to stakeholders throughout the renewal lifecycle until finalization with a Purchase Order (PO).
- Ensure strategic alignment between vendors and technology roadmaps.
requirements-expected :
- Experience within Vendor Management gained in financial sectors (ideally Banking), regulated environment is an advantage.
- Commercial acumen with a track record of controlling vendor spends as an enterprise scale, and/or cost avoidance.
- Proven track record of contract management on a global scale, controlling vendor spend and risk management.
- Deep understanding of technology providers in Cybersecurity and/or technology with exposure to managing complex supply base.
- High level of communication and collaboration skills. Ability to communicate to stakeholders on senior level in and outside of Cybersecurity, addressing challenges and feedback, working effectively with cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity, Architecture and Procurement to ensure that the output is delivered jointly and on time. It is key that the Principal SME stays on top of developments in the technology and vendor landscape.
- Stakeholder management skills: ability to manage relationships with stakeholders and external vendors, showing influential skills and negotiation skills.
- Problem-solving skills: ability to identify and remediate challenges and must be able to get technical consultancy from Product Managers and Technical Directors to respond to issues.
